Taking care of packaging waste

At Made of Tomorrow, we do our best to use responsible packaging in all possible areas. We have made this guide to help make it easier to dispose of and recycle all of the packaging used to get your order to you safely.

Polystyrene
It’s important to us that your mirror gets to you safely. Currently, the best option is to package it is using expanded foam (polystyrene).

While we research and develop new methods to safely package your mirror please take the time to recycle this polystyrene at a recycling station. We have made the list below which shows the best locations in New Zealand to ensure the polystyrene gets recycled and repurposed.

Airpop provide a great resource of information and a more detailed list of recycling locations. For more information visit their website here:

Cardboard

This is an easy one, and 95% of the packaging we use is cardboard. Simply break the cardboard box or cardboard envelope down and remove as much of the sellotape as possible. Then place it in your recycling bin. You can also drop off all cardboard and any other recycling to your nearest transfer station for free! How good!
